I've been wanting to go on a hotel staycation for the longest time. I was supposed to do it for my birthday last year but then thought why not wait a couple of months and go for a longer time? Well, team, it may be true what they say after all. Good things come to those who wait.
If you've been following my #hotellife adventures on snapchat, you would already know that the past few days have been spent at one of my favourite places in the world.
I don't know what it is about The Langham Auckland that's captured my heart. A few years ago my family and I dined at Eight for the first time and I was hooked. Then Scarlet and I went for a girls weekend away to The Langham a few years after and it was blissful. Whatever it is, when it comes to luxury, The Langham is the only place I trust.
The old world charm teamed with the best hospitality in the world is what makes this place special. Out of all the hotels I've stayed at locally and internationally, The Langham is unparalleled. No, this isn't a sponsored ad. I had a few people ask me over on my Facebook page who was sponsoring all my trip and I was like.... umm, me. For service like this, I'd happily pay again and again. This staycation was an investment on myself, on my year, and on my goals. I wanted to take a trip on my own and really get some quality alone time to reflect and plan for the year.
I wanted to make sure I was rested and relaxed before tackling on 2016. And I can honestly say that booking this has been the best decision I've ever made. I've been waking up to something that feels like a dream. Even better because I know it isn't! The comfiest bed which is massive and perfect for a solo girl like me who loves starfishing and taking up a lot of space, ordering room service at midnight after a swim under the stars, buffet lunches and the best creme brulee in the world, not to mention the room service deliveries to my room of things of the menu. I wanted a mimosa and Socrates (pictured above) made that possible for me! I spent an afternoon treating myself to a lovely high tea. I swam some more. Napped. Wrote. Read. Watched movies. The essentials for a good relaxing break.
Thank you, The Langham for having me. I already can't wait for my next visit! Oh 2016. I am ready for you. Watch this space. Some big things are happening this year!
