Oh heyyyyyyyy blog!
I can't believe I haven't updated this blog this year! Some blogger, huh? I do have good reasons, though. There's lots of changes in the air. Things that I'm sure I'll post about soon (like my amazing hotel holiday for new year's and my debut back into acting) when I can. But right now I want to talk about the weekend.
Saturday, in particular.
Saturday funderday? Nope, doesn't sound as good as sunday funday. It was a wonderful start to the weekend nonetheless. I went to the opening of Harper Inc where I was casually just posing while browsing and a camera just happened to have captured the moment (Lol who am I kidding? Thanks Naomi for being a good sport and taking the photo). But seriously, what a beautiful store! And we haven't even talked about the clothes yet. THE CLOTHES. Oh my. It took every ounce of willpower for me not to shop up a storm. I don't want to spoil anything as I'll be doing a separate blog entry soon but if there's anything you should do ASAP, it's visiting the store for some treats. Congrats Courtney and family on your new venture. It's always so exciting to see beautiful boutiques opening in our little city and if you don't believe me yet, see it for yourself - Shop 2, 19 Worley Place.
In keeping with the 'new' theme the day seemed to have, I checked out the newly opened Hayes Common for some light late lunch with Naomi. The place still had the nice beautiful windows that Hydro had, yummy food, and beautiful 70's inspired decor. The only thing I did not like is the flowers... I have a hole phobia and they had those flowers (even as I type this I'm getting the hibbie jibbies) EVERYWHERE. I was anxious the whole time and did not enjoy sitting there with it around me :(
Then I went to the museum because I wanted to check out the Art & Architecture exhibition. I ended up going to the other exhibitions and wandering around for ages, feeling really inspired and having the sudden urge to write, write, write.
As I was walking to catch a late afternoon movie, I realised that I could do with a little bit of snack so off to Madam Woo I went. Guys. The pulled sticky pork Hawker Roll is the bomb.com. I have never tasted anything so flavourful in a long time. I swear I took my first bite and basically wanted to cry. It was so beautiful and I feel like I'm going to be eating this for the rest of my life.
All in all it was a pretty fantastic day and I finished it off with a trip to Farmers. It's beauty week and I may have been buying way too much goodies like this Dior maximizer glow primer that deserves a blog post in itself because it has changed me as a person. No, but really. My Instagram shows it off in full glory.
